Last updated: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GI Fit Studio ("GI Fit Studio," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website, mobile application, and studio services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account & contact information — your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and emergency contact details.
  • Profile & fitness information — membership type and status, fitness goals, and any notes you choose to share with us.
  • Payment information — billing details processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we retain limited records such as a customer/subscription identifier and transaction history.
  • Booking & attendance data — your class bookings, check-ins, cancellations, attendance, and any applicable fees.
  • Device & notification data — if you enable push notifications, a device push token and platform (iOS/Android), used to deliver notifications through Expo's push service.
  • Usage & technical data — log data, device information, and cookies or similar technologies used to operate and secure the Services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and membership;
  • Process payments, renewals, and applicable fees;
  • Enable class scheduling, booking, check-in, and attendance;
  • Send transactional messages (e.g., confirmations, password resets) and, where you have opted in, push notifications and announcements;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
  • Maintain safety, security, and the integrity of the Services;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the Services, including with the following service providers:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Supabase — authentication and secure database hosting.
  • Expo — delivery of mobile push notifications.
  • Resend — delivery of transactional and contact-form emails.

We may also disclose information to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights and safety or those of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These providers are authorized to use your information only to perform services for us.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality such as staying logged in.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for a reasonable period to comply with legal, accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify your information.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices & Rights

You may review and update your account information at any time through the app or by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to request a copy of it.

  • Notifications. You can disable push notifications in your device settings and opt out of non-essential emails.
  • California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to know, access, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Members under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian's consent. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices.
